For more than 30 years, Above All Catering President, Gary Rodgers, has been deeply involved in the food, beverage & hospitality industry. By the age of 16, Gary had already discovered his passion and began working his way up the chain of command. His career began in a boutique wine & cheese deli and before long made heads turn as a very young and highly successful manager of a 5-Star fine dining establishment with 3 large banquet rooms, a 500-capacity night club and 180-seat dining room.
From the start, Gary was a rising star that earned respect in the restaurant community. In addition to the above, he was named “Waiter of the Year” by Entertainment Magazine in San Diego County and also managed operations for a chain of Mexican/Seafood Market restaurants.
Continuing to build expertise, Gary went on to run a chain of Bistros and Cafes for the American Restaurant Group as well as a stand-alone restaurant & bar in Orange County. From here the foundation was laid for the launch of his own business, Above All Catering.
Above All Catering has been serving Orange County, Los Angeles & Riverside Counties, for over 20 years now. Beginning as a primarily corporate catering company, Above All soon developed into a full-service special event business which caters to approximately 2000 events each year. Its’ founding business principles remain the same… offer great food, great service & great value, rising well above all industry standards. Gary continues to be hands-on in every aspect of his business, literally. He loves being in the middle of the action, planning events, cooking, setting-up for events, bartending, designing, clean-up, etc. He’ll even do the dishes if there’s a need.
