Red, White and Blue!

Saturday is July 4th and we know you are looking forward to spending time with family and friends, enjoying an ice cold drink and soaking up the sun.

In keeping with celebrating this historic and coveted summer holiday, here is a little trivia about South Carolina’s history on everybody’s favorite part of the day – fireworks!  The first firework show in the state took place in Charleston in 1783.  This made Charleston the fourth city in the United States to celebrate independence in this way, only behind Philadelphia, Boston and Worcester.

In honor of such a timeless tradition and South Carolina’s role in its celebratory history, we have not one, but THREE July 4th inspired drinks for this week’s Thirsty Thursday. Be safe this weekend, and cheers to the 4th!
